Mike Tyson and Roy Jones fight postponed

An exhibition match between Boxing legends Mike Tyson and Roy Jones Jr., scheduled for September 12, will take place two and a half months later.

This was reported by the sports columnist of the athletic publication Mike Coppinger.

“The exhibition fight between Mike Tyson and Roy Jones Jr., which was supposed to take place on September 12 in Carson, California, has been postponed. The new approximate date of the event is November 28, ” the reporter wrote on Twitter.

Sources say that the reason for the postponement of the match was the desire of the organizers to maximize profits by giving themselves more time to promote the match. The fight can be viewed on the social streaming platform Triller, buying a paid broadcast for $49.99.

The rules of the eight-round match are also in question – the sides have not yet decided whether helmets will be used and doping tests will be conducted.

Mike Tyson, 54, ended his professional career in 2005 after being defeated by a technical knockout in a fight against Kevin McBride.
