Israel Adesanya opened the favorite in the match against Paulo Costa

The current UFC Middleweight champion, Israel Adesanya, opened as the favorite in the upcoming title fight against Paulo Costa, but not as significant as one might expect.

At the moment, the coefficient for Adesanya’s victory is 1.741 (probability 57.45%), while Costa’s success is estimated at a coefficient of 2.13 (probability 46.95%).

Bookmakers published the starting odds a day after informed sources close to the situation reported that the Middleweight title fight will be the main event of the UFC 253 tournament, which will be held on September 19 in Abu Dhabi.

Representatives of the organization have not yet made official statements about the match, but the President of the UFC, Dana white, in an interview with The National indirectly confirmed the previously announced information, saying that Adesanya and Costa will fight in the fall on Fight Island in Abu Dhabi.

Peter Yan explained why he doesn’t train in the USA

The current UFC lightweight champion, Peter Yan, explained why he prefers to train in the Archangel Michael and tiger Muay Thai clubs, instead of preparing for fights in the leading American halls.

“They say to me – why don’t you go to train in America? Guys, I became the UFC champion, training in “Tiger”, training in Yekaterinburg, before that I trained in Omsk, I was engaged in Boxing. On this baggage, I became a champion,” the Russian fighter said in an interview with RT Sport. “If it works, you just need to adjust, add something, and not take and purposefully change something. Why should I go to America? I hit those guys. There are certain halls where I previously wanted to go, but I realized that there were my future possible rivals there, and because of this, I did not go there»

Recall that on July 11 at UFC 251 in Abu Dhabi, Peter Yan finished with a technical knockout in the fifth round of Jose Aldo, winning the vacant UFC lightweight championship belt.
